All the boys and girls took part in a production of Jungle Book. Several budding actors joined the cast and the rest of us became the wolf pack. Aaaaooooooooo!!!!
Everyone enjoyed the great live performance and the theatre group commented on how good the children were….. (easy as they’re monkeys most of the time anyway!)
Sad news for Nazareth House this year as we heard that our school psychologist is moving on to fresh pastures. Anamaria has long been associated with our school and has always given 100% +. Her expertise and good humour will be sadly missed. I hope she didn’t take the “huff” over missing our performance of Annie!

P1a Eimear Doherty, Evan McGilloway, Jenny Baird, Adam Gallagher, Matthew McMonagle,
Our staff had a very productive School Development Day on Friday, September 25th. Training in and planning for Linguistic Phonics was facilitated by Mrs McDaid and Mrs Higgins and they did a great job. Any parent wanting information on Linguistic Phonics should contact the school where we will direct you to the relevant information.
The second half of the day was given over to development planning but the highlight of the day was most definately the lovely pot of soup provided by Ester!
Calling all parents! Calling all parents! Your School Needs You!
We are always looking for ways to involve our parents in the life of school and one way is through our Parent Parnership scheme. There are a lot of issues that require your help; uniform, fund-raising, P.R. to name but a few.
Meetings are very informal and usually a bit of CRAIC! So why not come along and get involved. Don’t be put off. Come along and support your children’s learning and, you never know, you might even enjoy it as well.
Watch out for the date of the next meeting and please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please come along.
The first of our parent meetings took place on Tuesday 15th September. There was a good turn out for most classes. Any parent who was unable to attend should ensure that information such as permission slips are returned to school without delay.
Our next meetings will follow INCAS Testing which is being carried out for our P4, 5, 6 and 7 pupils and should take place around Halloween.
The Northern Ireland Curriculum is proceeding well at Nazareth House. All teachers have received training and more will be forthcoming in the coming year.
In school, we have completed our Afl section and have just begun to look at Thinking Skills and Personal Capabilities and Personal Development and Mutual Understanding. So far so good!
